Jimmy Rice, 71, of Selma, passed away June 30, 2019 at UAB Birmingham. Services are scheduled for Saturday, July 6, 2019, 1 p.m. at Ashley’s J.H. Williams and Sons Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Serenity Cemetery with Ashley’s J.H. Williams and Sons Funeral Home directing. He is survived by his mother, Louella Walker; brother, James Hatcher; son, Jimmy Simmons; sister, Naomi Chappell; very devoted niece, Veronica Jones; two grandchildren, Jimmy Simmons and Ashley Simmons; great grandchild, Amanda Simmons; daughter-in-law, Anita Simmons.
