Though the sale of the Selma Mall happened roughly one month ago, there are still very few details available about the inner workings of the deal.
All that is currently known about the deal is that the 316,412 square foot space was sold to the highest bidder via an auction on Ten-X.com for $800,000.
Aside from those facts, much about the deal remains a mystery.
David Hagood, a representative of Arovov, the company who sold the mall, has said that the company is not yet allowed to discuss the details of the transaction.
Both Selma-Dallas County Chamber of Commerce Director Sheryl Smedley and Economic Development Authority Director Wayne Vardaman both stated that the details about the deal are unknown.
“The whole thing is very hush-hush,” said Vardaman.
Who purchased the property, what will be done with it, and the fate of it’s current stores are largely unknown.
The deal is currently in escrow and further details about the transaction should be available after the deal is finalized.
No sources were able to say as to when that would be before publication.
