Mrs. Lucille Bender, 82, of Selma, passed away May 12, 2019 at Blue Ridge Healthcare. Services are scheduled for Saturday, May 18, 2019, 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive #1 with Pastor Curtis Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in New Bride Missionary Baptist Church with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing. Family hour will be held at noon. She is survived by one son, Charles Lewis Smiley; three daughters, Betty Smith, Patricia Stanton, and Debra Towns; four brothers, James Wade, Robert Wade, Julius Wade, and Willie Fred Wade; three sisters, Annie Bell Hardy, Rosie Myles, and Eloise Ware;10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren.
