Dallas County District Attorney to speak Friday in Perry County

Fourth Judicial District Attorney Michael Jackson will be the keynote speaker at Perry County Crime Victims Awareness Month on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Perry County Courthouse in Marion.
Domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse and elder abuse will be among the topics discussed. The event’s theme is serving victims building trust restoring hope.
Victim Advocate Tamara C. Martin said the event will educate the youth about child abuse and educate adults on domestic violence, sexual assault and elder abuse.
Jackson’s Fourth Judicial District represents Dallas County, Bibb County, Hale County, Perry County and Wilcox County. Jackson said he’s looking forward to event.
“It’s an honor to speak at an event honoring victims of crime,” Jackson said. “Everyday, I feel blessed as District Attorney and being a small part in helping ease victim’s pain.”
