Selma man killed in car accident

A Selma man was killed Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash.
According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Reginal King, Taquan Jamar Tyus, 29, was killed on Dallas County 74, four miles south of Selma city limits at 5:20 a.m. Saturday morning.
King said the 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe Tyus was driving left the roadway and struck several trees. Tyus, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Although the circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation, speed is believed to be a factor.
The Alabama State Troopers continues to investigate the case.
