The Selma Housing Authority (SHA) held a Easter Egg hunt in the Felix Heights apartment complex on Wednesday.

Over 50 kids in the area attended the afternoon event and were treated to hot dogs, chips, cookies and candy. Kids also had the opportunity to get their faces painted and played in a bouncy house.

SHA Executive Director Kennard Randolph said the timing was perfect for an egg hunt several days ahead of Easter, which falls on April 21.

“We decided to have our Easter egg hunt now because everyone will be having their egg hunts next weekend and we didn’t want to compete with them,” Randolph laughed.

Randolph said it was great seeing kids and parents enjoy themselves.

“It’s good to see the kids smiling and having fun,” Randolph said. “It’s an opportunity for the parents and kids to celebrate Easter together. The SHA is all about getting activities for the kids to enjoy.”
