A bond hearing was held Monday for a Dallas County resident on several charges of sexual offense.

According to Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson, Dallas County District Court Judge Bob Armstrong set Danny Eldridge’s bond at $2 million on two counts of rape, two counts of sodomy and six counts of pornography charges. Eldridge was arrested at 9 a.m. on April 6 by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office and remains in the Dallas County jail.

“These types of charges deserved a high bond,” Jackson said.

A preliminary hearing for Eldridge is set for May 7 at 1:30 p.m. in the Dallas County Courthouse.

Eldridge is a registered sex offender.
