The Selma chapter of 100 Black Men of America, an international organization with a focus toward educating and empowering young African-Americans, recently held its bi-monthly mentoring session with students at R.B. Hudson Middle School.
The most recent session focused on conflict resolution and the importance of addressing conflict in professional and personal relationships.
Leaders also discussed the positive outcomes that can derive from addressing any conflict in a respectful manner.
Among the members who met with students were Selma Housing Authority Executive Director Kennard Randolph, Historic Tabernacle Baptist Church Pastor Otis Culliver and Robert Stewart, Black Belt Outreach Coordinator for U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell, D-AL.
The local chapter was chartered in 2016 and takes part in a number of local efforts beyond its regular mentoring sessions at R.B. Hudson Middle School.
