Minnie Ruth “Sis” Smith, a long time resident of Selma, passed away at the age of 89 on March 6, 2019 in Kapolei, Hawaii.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman J. Smith, her parents, Elsie Mae Turner Huffman and Frank Eugene Huffman, Sr., her son, Scott E. Smith, brothers, Harris ‘Sparky’ Huffman, Sr., Frank “Jack” Huffman, Jr. and Charles “Skeeter” Huffman. Surviving is her son, Randy J (Debbie) Smith of Kapolei, Hawaii, sister, Faye Huffman Holcomb, Trussville, brother, Walter “Butch” Huffman, Valley Grande,  daughter-in-law, Christine Smith, Monroe, Georgia, grandchildren, Lauren (David) Smith-Pinilla, Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Ashley (Joey) Lawler, Savannah, Georgia, Andrea Smith, Greenville, South Carolina  Mary-Melyssa Smith, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii and Scott Smith, Monroe, Georgia;  her great-grandchildren, Demian Pinilla, Carson Lawler, Skylar Lawler and many nieces and nephews. A private family graveside service was held at Pineview Memory Gardens.
