The vehicles involved in the accident were a Loomis armored truck, a white four-door Genesis and a gray Oldsmobile Regency. Shatricial Powell was driving the Genesis vehicle and Catherine Titus was driving the Regency vehicle. The Loomis trucker didn’t reveal his identity.

Ivory said Titus and the Loomis truck driver both told him that Titus was making a left turn on Water Avenue when Powell tried to swerve around Titus. Powell hit Titus from behind and wound up hitting the Loomis truck on the left side.

The Genesis’ collision caused damage to the Regency’s back bumper on the right side and damaged the left front light on the Genesis. Parts of the Loomis’ plastic truck fender came off and it damaged the right front door on the Genesis.

No one was injured in the accident. Powell was taken to Vaughn Regional Medical Center as a precaution.

The SPD is investigating the accident.
