Selma Task Force Officer Eric Stallings has been recognized as the first Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force (ADETF) Agent of the Year.
Stallings was unanimously selected from the 80 officers and agents throughout the state of Alabama that make up the ADETF. He is the first recipient of the Agent of the Year award.
Stallings has worked for Alabama District Attorney Michael Jackson’s office since 2012.
“Agent Stallings is an indispensable member of my staff and my office,” said Jackson. “He has done so much to lead the fight against drugs and gangs in Selma.”
After witnessing the rise in violence in Selma in 2018, Stallings requested assistance from the Attorney General’s Office and multiple federal law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies.
Due to Stallings efforts, regional agents, Selma Police Department and multiple federal agencies began conducting saturation details in Selma, leading to 17 felony and 29 misdemeanor arrests.
“His peers consider him to be the very best,” said Jackson.
