Granthum also said a female was injured in the accident and immediately taken to UAB Hospital in Birmingham. He said her injuries didn’t appear to be serious, just taken as a precaution. Granthum didn’t reveal the female’s name.

“Witnesses said they were travelling in the field, made a turn and the vehicle turned over,” Granthum said. “The vehicle landed on top of the driver and he was dead. He wasn’t wearing a helmet.”

Funeral services for Fancher will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Selma Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. He is survived by his mother, Kammie Fancher; brother, Logan Harris; sister, Sierra Fancher.

“His momma loves that child,” Granthum said. “I can’t imagine losing my child.”

A Go Fund Me account is set up to help Fancher’s family pay funeral expenses at https://www.gofundme.com/funeral-expences-for-devin-michael-fancher. Over $3,500 has been raised as of Monday afternoon.
