Douglas Smith, age 94, passed away February 26, 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Pearl Smith; parents, Aubrey and Mary Smith; children, Douglas smith and Robert Smith; sister, Fannie Holland; brother-in-law, Victor Russo and grandchildren, Frank Bosley, Billy Ray Smith and Christopher Camden.

Surviving are his children, Harold Smith, Andrew Bosley, Karen (Tony) Hall and Jackie Clark; brother, Joe (Shirley) Smith; sister, Nelda Russo; grandchildren, Teresa Pearce, Russell Hall, Angelia Matthews, Samantha Bosley and Michael Smith, Larry Smith and Bobby Smith and five great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be pallbearers,  Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Fuller, Ernie Russell and Don Woodall.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 1, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Blake officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service at 10 a.m.  Interment will be in Coosa River Cemetery ( next to Shoal Creek Baptist Church) in Deatsville.
