Southside boys and girls teams were both elminated from the Class 3A Sub-Regional round this week.

The Lady Saints fell at Holt 51-43, while the boys’ squad were routed  61-45 by Greene County.

Kylan Brown led the Lady Panthers with 11 points, while Christina Watts added 10.

Southside boys couldn’t overcome Greene County on the road.

Chris Thomas led the Panthers with 14 points. Jaylen Kennedy and Tae Spears both added 12 points. Chris Bonner grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds.

“My young team finished with heart and pride,” Southside coach Lenord Jones said. “They persevered and never gave up in spite of all of this season’s adversity. It gives me great pleasure and joy to be part of the rebuilding process at Southside.”
