Morgan Academy wins, Selma High stumble

Gunnar Henderson scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Morgan Academy hammered Clark Prep 55-27 on Tuesday night.
Hayden Bruner added eight points and 10 rebounds. Jeremy Lee had seven points, Dione Allen scored six points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Morgan Academy (13-3) travels to Success Unlimited on Friday night with the Region championship at stake.
Stanhope-Elmore 54, Selma 46: The Saints (15-9, 2-1 Area 6) couldn’t overcome a 15-point deficit and fell on the road. The Saints got within 44-40 with 5:00 left, but couldn’t get closer.
Marqwavis Davis led the Saints with 14 points, Tyshawn Garner added eight. Selma travels to Wetumpka on Thursday with second place at stake.
“Stanhope-Elmore made enough free throws to hold the Saints off,” Saints coach Ronald Lane said. “We must win at Wetumpka to force a second-place tie.”
Wilcox Central 71, Southside 41: The Panthers fell on the road in Wilcox County. Freshmen B.J. Moore led the Panthers with 11 points and Taye Spears added 11.
Dallas County 97, Billingsley 73: The Hornets prevailed at home in Plantersville.
Keith 53, A.L. Johnson 28: Keith prevailed at home in the Bears Den.
