Edwin Roy Ember, son of the late Sally and Harold Ember was born on December 18, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York. He died on January 17, 2019 in Marion, Alabama.

He was preceded by his wife of 37 years, Connie Nimrod Ember.

He is survived by his sons, Steve (Jan) Ember of Sarasota, Florida and David (Elisa) Ember of Cottondale, Alabama; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; sister, Meryl (Bill) Melton of St. Louis, Missouri and many other relatives.

Graveside services will be Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Old Live Oak Cemetery with Hanna Berger officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Temple Mishkan Israel in Selma or a charity of your choice in Ed’s name.
