Rita Tarver has been teaching future leaders for 16 years.

She currently is a fourth-grade teacher at Meadowview Elementary.

“My joy comes from coming to work every day among peers who are helpful, innovative, nurturing and supportive,” she said. “Each of my Meadowview family members propel me to sow ‘seeds of greatness’ into my students, which will ultimately produce global leaders.”

During her spare time, she is involved in the community.

“I love to visit the nursing homes,” the Demopolis native said. “I love to sing and play gospel music. I love spending time with my husband and two sons.”
