The Selma Police Athletic League (PAL) will be holding its annual Toy drive on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the PAL center.

WJAM 97.4 FM, Walmart, city of Selma, Park Place and the Selma Police Department (SPD) are among the local sponsors, according to SPD Det. and PAL Executive Director Dorothy Cowan.

Cowan said toys will be distributed to PAL kids and citizens of Selma kids.

“We had a lot of donations from a lot of different companies to help us out with the toy drive,” Cowan said.

Cowan predicts a huge volume in attendance. She said residents lined up an hour before last year’s toy drive at the Carl C. Morgan Convention Center.

“I expect a strong turnout, we do this every year,” Cowan said.
