Sara Ellen Middlebrooks Averett, age 91, of Selma, passed away December 11, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Averett; parents, Will and Della Middlebrooks; son Tim Averett; one sister and nine brothers.

Surviving are her daughter, Linda (Jimmy) Hagood; grandchildren, Susan (Joe) Hornsby, Sherry (Dennis) McDonnell, David (Katie) Hagood, Melissa (Gene) Kim and Jessica (Kim) Quattlebaum; great-grandchildren, Brent (Ruth) Hagood, Bryant (Katie) Hornsby, Katelyn McDonnell, Chris (Jessica) McDonnell, John Paul (Brittni) McDonnell, Braxton Hagood, Lexie Hagood, Summer Hagood, Caleb Kim, Amos Kim and Asher Kim and great-great grandchildren, Brentlee Hagood, Evelyn Hagood, Cash Hornsby and Adalyn McDonnell.

Graveside services will be Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. in Pineview Memory Gardens with Bro. Gene Kim officiating and Selma Funeral Home.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
