Awards for a cause – Grants will help improve local organizations

The Black Belt Community Foundation (BBCF) awarded over $25,000 in grants to six different organizations in Dallas County on Saturday at the Hank Sanders Technology Center at Wallace Community College Selma.

The Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation (TRHT) funding were given to the Selma City Schools ($5,000), Local Serve Pro Cooperative ($2,895), Mothers Against All Violence in Selma ($5,000), The Potter’s House ($5,000), McRae Learning Center ($5,000) and Arts Revive ($1,750).

We are glad that these groups were able to receive the funds they did and will go on to do great things for this community.
