On Friday, Selma High School played host to one of the greatest events of the year.
The Special Olympics allows children with challenges to be the star of the day.
It is events like these that we celebrate students with special needs across the county that they can participate in things just like other athletes.
We commend Selma High School for hosting the 50th anniversary in the county is a big deal.
The global movement of Special Olympics is happening in all corners of the world.
For 50 years, Special Olympics has been building a movement to break down barriers – both on and off the field in health and education – all through the power of sport.
The 50-year mark is also the launch of a 5-year campaign to inspire action and ultimately end discrimination for people with disabilities.
The Revolution is inclusion.
