This Friday, the public will have a chance to give to an organization that helps many people in the county.

According to past Selma Times-Journal reports, the Christian Outreach Alliance feeds between 200 to 250 families a week on average, and each of those clients gets an 8.5-pound bag of food.

According to feedingamerica.org, in 2014, a study revealed that food banks provide service to 46.5 million people in need across the United States including 12 million children and 7 million seniors.

This is a subject that we often do not talk about, but it is something that must be discussed and addressed.

This Friday, you will have your chance to do your part in helping those in need by helping the food pantry continue to stock the shelves by dropping off food donations.

It is simple.

You don’t even have to get out of your car if you don’t want to to drop off your donation.

It doesn’t get more convenient than that.
