Don’t fear the change

There are a lot of changes happening in Selma.
The Selma City School system specifically is talking about some major changes that include the possibility of closing multiple schools in the district.
It is natural to fear change.
Change is scary, and it something that a lot of people work super hard to avoid.
I have somehow developed the opposite type of fear, which is the fear of things staying the same for the rest of my life. I don’t know what that says about me, but I’m sure a therapist of some kind would have a field day trying to figure out all that is wrong with me.
I view change as an exciting thing.
Change allows us to grow as individuals, and to completely change ourselves.
Whatever the Selma City School Board decides to do, I hope that everyone supports their decision. Change may happen, and change may come, but it is sometimes necessary to be successful.
