Julie Sams’ business one of many successful parts of Selma

On Thursday, Dr. Julie Sams held a ribbon cutting for her renovated dental office.

As one of the many businesses that are working to keep Selma economically competitive with flourishing, attractive businesses in our city limits.

These types of businesses attract others to come in and make much needed economic growth.

Over the summer, Dallas County Economic Development Authority Director Wayne Vardaman said that Dallas County’s rankings had improved in the state’s economic world.

Dallas County was ranked 20 out of 67 counties for investments, the county ranked 22 out of 67 counties in job creation, 25 manufacturing jobs are in Dallas County, 241 jobs were created by local industries, 5,200 people travel into Dallas County to work and over $63 million has been invested to the county by local industries.

Businesses like Dr. Julie Sams Family Dentistry is part of the system that brings and keeps industry here.
