Mrs. Cebie Inez Thompson of Troy and formerly of Selma passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the age of 95.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Thompson; daughter, Sandra and sisters, Mae and Bonnie. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her welcoming arms and servant’s heart reflected the image of her savior, Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Wolfe; son, Benny (Joyce) Thompson; six grandchildren, Donnie Norton, Joey Thompson, Lance Thompson, Brett Thompson, Samantha Earnest and Christopher Wolfe; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Bud Upchurch and sister, Joyce (Jerry) Haley.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Interment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Chris Wolfe, Joey Thompson, Lance Thompson, Brett Thompson, Tray Earnest and Gene White.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
