Dallas County School Board readies for school year with personnel approvals

The Dallas County School Board of Education approved their start of the year personnel at their Tuesday meeting.

In employment, the board approved Rose Arrington as a collaborative instructor at Brantley Elementary School, Christopher Bowens as a band director at Tipton-Durant Middle School and Southside High School, Stacy Buchanan as an ACCESS Lab Facilitator at Dallas County High School, Cathryn Dozier as a science teacher at Martin Middle School, Michael Duran as a history instructor at Southside High School, Tiffany Edwards as a math instructor at Keith Middle-High School, Margaret Hogg as a collaborative instructor at Martin Middle School, Julie Johnson as a librarian at B.K. Craig Elementary School, Brittany Longcrier as a fourth-grade instructor at Valley Grande, Anthon Lumpkin as the head football coach at Keith School, Hugh Martin as an ISS at Dallas County High School, Marcus Minter as a bus driver in the Southern Zone, Jenna Morgan as a second-grade teacher at Salem Elementary School, Wendy Mull as a custodian at J.E. Terry Elementary School, Kyle Sides as a career prep instructor at Dallas County High School, Harrison Smith as a English instructor at Dallas County High School, Jamie Smith as a math instructor at Tipton-Durant Middle School, Mary Tidmore as a first-grade teacher at Brantley Elementary School and Julie Wright as a collaborative instructor at Brantley Elementary School.

The board also approved resignations.

The board approved the resignation of Samantha Bassie, a guidance counselor at Dallas County High School, Eldrick Collins, an elementary instructor at B.K. Craig Elementary School, Brittany Easterling, a math instructor at Dallas County High School, Courtney Friday, an English instructor at Dallas County High School, Acie Munford, a band director at Tipton-Durant Middle School and Southside High School, Kimberly Provitt, a math instructor at Southside High School, Monica Russell, a math instructor at Tipton-Durant Middle School and Lydia Ward, a history instructor at Southside High School.

The board approved the transfer of Felicia Glover, the collaborative instructor at Tipton-Durant Middle School to the guidance counselor at the school, Shirley Hardy as the collaborative paraprofessional from Brantley Elementary to B.K. Craig Elementary, Allison Harper, as a collaborative instructor from Southside Primary School to Salem Elementary School, Pam Ivey, a collaborative instructor from Valley Grande to Southside Primary School, Tiffany James, an elementary instructor from Tipton-Durant Middle School to B.K. Craig Elementary School, Valerie Maxwell, an LPN at Southside Primary to J.E. Terry Elementary and Dallas County High School, Jobrina Oliver a reading coach to a lead reading specialist at J.E. Terry Elementary, Grace Powell, an LPN at Martin Middle School to Southside Primary School, Tiffanie Ross-Love, an LPN at J.E. Terry to Martin Middle School and Valley Grande, Tamika Talton, a CNP worker from Martin Middle to Valley Grande, Amanda Thomas, a collaborative paraprofessional from Salem to Keith Middle School and Yolanda Thompkins, a guidance counselor from Tipton-Durant to Dallas County High School.
