No Limit Church is hosting its school supply drive for local children in need. The drive started right in time for Alabama’s 13th annual sales tax holiday. The tax-free holiday is the one weekend Alabama waives taxes on school supplies. The exempt items included clothing items that were less than $100 per article of clothing, school supplies that were less than $50 per item, books less than $30 per book and tablets, laptops, computers and printers $750 or less. Even though the tax holiday has come to a close, the church is still accepting school supplies.

All donations can be made to No Limit Church located at 92 Deepwoods Drive in Valley Grande until Aug. 5.

According to No Limit Church, the purpose of this school drive is to provide help to the families needing the extra assistance when buying the necessary items for school.

“Many families in our area do not have the resources to purchase all of the needed supplies to support their education. It often leaves teachers purchasing these supplies for the students out of their own pockets or the student going without. That is why this year we want to pull the community together to help fix this problem,” according to a release from No Limit Church.
To ensure the children in need are receiving the donations, the church will be partnering with local schools and administrations.
“These supplies will be distributed to local schools and teachers to ensure that the children who need them the most will be provided with the tools they need,” according to a release from No Limit Church.

Although, no school-related supply items will be turned away, several things that are most needed in the school supply drive.
