The rain didn’t keep away patriotic Orrville residents from watching the third annual firework to celebrate this year’s Fourth of July Independence Day celebration.

Food was served beginning at 6:30 p.m. with ribs and chicken for sale.

Music was played at the Orrville Community Center as the cars began parking alongside the road and in the grass of the center, and people slowly filed in with their lawn chairs and excitement to see the fireworks.

“I want to thank you all for coming,” Orrville Town Mayor Louvenia Lumpkin. “We are excited to have this event for the third year in a row, and we hope that everyone enjoys it.”

Barbara Pritchard also performed the “Star Spangled-Banner” and “America, The Beautiful” before the fireworks show began.

The show lasted for nearly 30 minutes and included numerous kinds of firework displays.
