Power outage being restored in Selma
A power outage in Selma left 2,800 customers in the dark on Monday night.
According to Mike Jordan with Alabama Power, the outage began around 7:40 p.m., and crews have been working since then to try and restore service.
Jordan said the outage was caused by an issue with the transmission line.
He said that around 9:30 p.m. power was restored to 1,500 customers leaving 1,300 still without power.
Jordan also said that the outage should hopefully be resolved within the next 30 minutes.
