Rep. Sewell to hold annual grants workshop

Rep. Terri Sewell, D-AL, will hold the Fifth Annual Federal Grants Workshop in Selma on, Thursday, June 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Selma High School Auditorium located at 2180 Broad St.

Grant Writing 101 will offer participants a breakdown of the grant writing process, as well as inform them about the various resources that are available to them in the grant writing process.

The workshop is free and open to the public, and pre-registration is strongly encouraged, according to a release from Sewell’s office.

“This workshop will focus on best practices in grant writing, research strategies and local grant writing resources. Speakers will include professional grant writers and grant evaluators from various government agencies, municipalities and non-profits. The featured speakers also will provide information on grant eligibility, best practices and strategies, information to maintain a grant, as well as resources available.”
