Mr. J.D. Cobbs, 78, of Selma, passed away June 4, 2018 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery. Services are scheduled for Saturday, June 9, 2018, noon at Grove Hill A.M.E. Church with the Rev. Essie May officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing. He is survived by his wife, Parilee Cobbs; four children, Leander Cobbs, Gwendolyn Cobbs Brown, Stephen (Cheryl) Cobbs, and Jerry (Lori) Cobbs; five sisters, Ada Fleming, Estelle Lanier, Mable (Farmer) Fleming, Juanita Todd, Guanita Powell; one uncle; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; long time friend, Lee Thickland and Ray Ray adopted as a son.
