Mr. Stephen J. Shanks, 26, of Selma, passed away May 6, 2018, at UAB Hospital. Services are scheduled for Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Good Hope Church with the Rev. Jonathan Shanks officiating.

Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing. He is survived by his fiance, Erica Acoff; parents, Tommie Shanks and Willie Shanks; son, Jamar Avonta Acoff; two brothers, Jonathan and Willie Shanks; and sister, Tiffany Harris.
