JoAnn Adkison, wife of Louie “Country Boy” Adkison for 59 years, passed away May 7, 2018, at the age of 79.

JoAnn was a member of Houston Park Church of Christ in Selma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Mary Bell Wise Smith; and brothers, Earnest Smith Jr., Fred Smith, William Smith, Willard Smith and Terry Smith.

Other survivors are her children, Joe (Joan) Adkison and Janet (Brian) Arnold; grandchildren, Kyle Hulsey and Alisa Adkison; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Houston Park Church of Christ with Tom McLemore officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Freddie Smith, Kenneth Hatcher, Doffis Daugherty, Sonny Smith and Steve Busch and Ocie Cunningham. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Smith and Doug Ferguson.
