Ms. Essie McNeil, 75, of Selma, passed away at UAB Hospital. Services are scheduled for Saturday, May 5, 2018, at noon at Lily Grove Baptist Church in Selma with the Rev. Maquell Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Lily Grove Cemetery with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing. She is survived by two sons, C.S. (Janice) Lewis and Joseph (Chiree) McNeil; two daughters, Mary (Michael) Cherry and Tawanda (Anthony) Thompson; six brothers, Edward Lewis, Arthur Lewis, Matthew (Essie) Lewis, Charles Lewis, Rudolph Lewis and Tommy Lewis; sister, Patricia Patwin; special friends, Billy Lee, Ne-Ne Jackson, Janice Gihvan and Mary; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
