The final graduates of Concordia College Alabama walked across the stage on Saturday, as the school is ceasing operations due to financial issues.
However, the spirit of Concordia and of Dallas County will be embodied by the final graduates of the school for years to come. The men and women who stuck it out through hard times can now enter the adult world proud of what they were able to accomplish. If it were easy, everybody would do it. It takes real grit and commitment to finish strong with good grades when an individual knows the school would no longer be around. Yet, dozens of students at CCA showed their dedication and true colors the past few months, staying focused on the end goal.
These overcoming of obstacles by the students were not accomplished on their own, however. Multiple schools and organizations came to the forefront to try to help out the students through multiple aid methods.
Thank you to all who helped CCA students during tough times, and congratulations to all graduates.
