Bernice Purdie Davis, age 85, a resident of Selma, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at 11 a.m., from Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Potter Station with Pastor Robert Simmons officiating. Interment will be held at Fairlawn Memory Gardens with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing. 

She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband, Alfred Davis; One daughter, Margaret Bolling, Selma; One Brother, Phillip(Mary)Purdie, of Chicago, Illinois. Two sisters, Laura Purdie Thompson, of Detroit, Michigan; Emma Purdie Wellington, of Jacksonville, Florida. Grandchildren, Earl Purdie, Montief Bolling, Zion Edwards, Kendrick Purdie and Faylicia Purdie; God Daughter, Shatava Edwards; Sister in law, Emma Jean Purdie and Ollie Mae Davis, one aunt Paula Cockrell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a member of the Phyllis Whatley #656 OES and VRMC Auxillary Member.
