There is a high chance that Selma and the rest of Central Alabama will be in the path of severe weather storms to start the week.

There is a risk of severe storms with damaging winds on Sunday from noon until 8 p.m., and is likely to be just as severe on Monday.

The weather service in Birmingham is forecasting damaging winds, quarter-sized hail and potentially worse. Keep an eye on the weather updates, and do what you can to make sure that you are prepared for the incoming weather. Make sure you have plenty of emergency supplies, food and water in case the power goes out.
