James F. Gallagher passed away Feb. 13, 2018, at the age of 89. He was born July 25, 1928, to the late James Eugene Gallagher and Veronica Loftus Gallagher. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Kennedy Gallagher, and sister, Mary Gallagher (Vincent) Mehan.
He is survived by his children, Deborah Thompson, Katherine Gallagher (Dr. William, Jr.) Mann, Rebecca (Hoffman, Jr.) Rhyne, James Robert (Stephanie) Gallagher and Michael Rhett (Shannon) Gallagher; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and brothers, Joseph E. (Joan) Gallagher and Peter (Ellen) Gallagher.
Funeral services will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Campus Crusade For Christ, Samaritan’s Purse or Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Selma, Alabama.
