Aniya Mitchell, a seventh grader at R.B. Hudson Middle School, recently won the county spelling bee. Now, she will represent the entire county, as she competes on the state level.
Thursday, the Times-Journal recognized Mitchell for her accomplishment, which is a great feat. This was her second time winning the county spelling bee. Her parents are proud of her, and so are we.
The community should also be proud of Mitchell and cheer her on, as she represents our community.
Mitchell will compete against students from 66 other counties in Alabama.
The state competition will be held on March 10 in Alabaster.
If Mitchell wins the state level of the competition, she will represent the state on the national level.
Good luck in the spelling bee. We hope you bring home the trophy to Dallas County, Aniya.
