Dear Editor,

Selma Recycles would like to thank the community for their support and effort to keep Selma cleaner and greener by recycling.
We would like to give a special thanks to the Selma City Council, Councilwoman Miah Jackson, Selma Public Works, Sea Coast Disposal, Selma-Dallas County Historic Preservation Society, Principal Cicely Curtis and School of Discovery, The Cotton House, The Brant Center, The Selma Times-Journal and all of Selma Recycles Volunteers.
Selma Recycles will continue to serve the community with two recycling drop off dates a month.
Volunteers will receive recyclables on the second and 4th Sunday of each month from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. We will continue to accept No. 1 and No. 2 plastics and we have added cardboard.
In order to be successful, we need volunteers of all ages.
We are asking that you attend our volunteer meeting on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, at the School of Discovery Library at 5:30 p.m.
Remember to tell all of your family and friends that Selma Recycles.

Crystal Smith
