The Rev. Herman Gaines, 60, of Madison, and formerly of Dallas County, passed away Jan. 28, 2018 in Birmingham.
Services are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Daystar Family Church in Northport with Bishop Dr. Patrick Schatzline officiating.
Burial will follow in Central Baptist Church in Marion Junction with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing.
He is survived by his wife, Darya Holt-Gaines; parents, Beatrice Horton and Marrie L. Holt; four sons, Samuel Gaines, Patrick Gaines, Timothy Gaines, and Herman Tobias Gaines; two daughters, Gabrielle Gaines and Tameka Fails; nine brothers, Jeffery L. Gaines, Millard Bennett III, Daniel Bennett, Theodore Bennett, Johnny Bennett, Tyrone Brown, Chapman Wilson Sr., Rev. James Clarke Jr., and Oliver Clark; ten sisters, Jeanette Gaines Crusoe, Linda Anyrim, Anna James, Janet Bennett, Shelia Hatcher, Jessie Brown, Altonia Pratt, Essie Davis, Slone Torrance, and Nettie Torrance; nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
