Margaret Calderwood Prestel, age 92, a resident of Hoover, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018.
Prior to relocating to Hoover, Margaret lived in Marion Junction and Selma for many years. As a school teacher for Selma Public Schools, she had a genuine love for her students.
She was a faithful wife and mother who shepherded her household and frequently volunteered for church and civic work.
Her family wishes to thank all who have prayed and cared for her especially during her final years at Galleria Woods.
A memorial service celebrating her life and home-going will be held at First Baptist Church in Selma on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at 11 a.m.
