This past weekend, three football players from Selma and Dallas County represented our area in the Scout Trout All-American Bowl in Prichard. Edward Moore Jr., from Southside, and Dallas County’s Calvin Starks and Kenchavious James were invited to play in the game. They each represented Team North.

The community should be proud of these three student-athletes for getting this opportunity. All three had tremendous seasons during the fall, and we’re glad to see them recognized for their work on the football field.

Playing in the game also gave them an opportunity to be seen by other coaches, which could lead to scholarship offers to play ball in college. Congratulations, gentlemen.
