The Volvo XC90 he was driving turned sideways headed west on Mulberry Road and went off the south side of the road into a ravine.

The car collided with a tree on the passenger side of the vehicle and then hit another tree, which broke in half. The vehicle then overturned on the passenger side near the edge of a drainage ditch.

The report states Stover and Colvin were both ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Both were pronounced dead on the scene. Stover was found underneath the vehicle, and Colvin was found in the water behind the vehicle.

Dallas County Coroner Alan Dailey said a passerby noticed the vehicle in the ravine sometime after 7 a.m. and called police. Officers arrived on scene around 7:45 a.m.

According to the accident report, alcohol appears to have been a factor.
