Two Selma men killed in Sunday morning head-on collision

Two Selma men were killed Sunday morning in a head-on collision.
According to Senior Trooper Reginal King with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 55-year-old Curtis Reed, of Selma, and 45-year-old Orlanda Tyrone Carter, also from Selma, were killed in the crash.
The crashed happened around 7:05 a.m. on Alabama Highway 14 near the 121-mile marker, which is three miles east of Selma going toward Prattville.
According to King, the crash happened when the 2013 Chevrolet Impala driven by Reed collided with the 2003 Ford Ranger driver by Carter. Neither men were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The crash shutdown that section of Alabama Highway 14 for two and a half hours.
They were both pronounced dead on the scene. It is unclear at this time what caused the wreck, and no further information is available from ALEA. The accident remains under investigation.
