Walter Charles Myers Sr., age 86, of Selma, passed away Jan. 10, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Myers; son, Dana Dean Myers; parents, Walter and Helen Myers; brothers, Glenn Myers and Carl Myers; and sisters, Pauline Camp and Thelma Skiles.

He is survived by his son, Walter (Barbara) Myers Jr.; daughter, Sherilyn (Randall) Bruhn; brother, Calvin (Dorothy) Myers; sister, Linda (Lynn) Battershell; grandchildren, Brittaney (John) Gray and Amy Messer; great-grandchildren, Aria Gray, Landon Messer and Payton Messer.

Mr. Myers was a Sgt. 1st Class in The U.S. Army and served in the Korean Conflict from 1949 to 1952.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home with pastor Travis Barnes officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1-2 p.m.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
