Staggers, Eddie C. 68, a resident of Deatsville, died at his home surrounded by his loving family Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018.

The funeral was Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at 1 p.m. at East Memorial Baptist Church in Prattville Alabama with the Rev. Glenn Graham and brother Frank Speed officiating and Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial followed at Brookside Cemetery. Visitation was Saturday, Jan. 6 from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at East Memorial Baptist Church.

Mr. Staggers worked in the cotton industry for 42 years after high school. After retiring in 2011, he and his wife Joyce moved back to Alabama to be with their children and grandchildren. His love for fishing lead him to work for Bass Pro Shops and BASS Tournament Trail. He was also very active in serving the Lord in his church.

Mr. Staggers was preceded by his father, Harmon Haywood Staggers.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Joyce Staggers; children, Jeff Staggers (Ashlee), Jana Roberson (Steve); two grandchildren, Hudson and Fisher Staggers; mother, Delilah Staggers; sister, Sherry McQueen; several cousins, nieces, great nephews and many friends.
