Sara Wright Melton, age 89, of Selma, passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2017, at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Blake officiating.

Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is preceded by her parents, Marvin Sr. and Dixie Wright; one brother; and three sisters.

Mrs. Melton is survived by her husband of 65 years, Clifford D. Melton; son, Randall Scott Melton (Renee); grandson, Brandon Scott Melton; and brother, Gary Wright.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Melton, Craig Bennett, Ronnie Bennett, David Dennis, Norman Copeland and Larry Argo.
