Monday, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3016 and its auxiliary donated more than 30 bags filled with blankets and other items to be given away to homeless people at Bosco Nutrition Center.

They also donated $300 to help the center feed people.

Kudos to the VFW for making this effort and giving back. They raised the money by selling hotdogs and nachos at Bingo night at the VFW and held other fundraisers.

The VFW is one of many groups helping others during the holidays. We’re glad to see so many helping hands.
