Black Friday has come and gone. The mad dash is over, but there is plenty of time to shop at Selma and Dallas County’s many locally owned stores.

Today is Small Business Saturday. It was a day dedicated to  shopping at small, locally owned businesses that depend on their community’s support.

If you haven’t noticed, many of the stores here have promotional material in their windows advertising Small Business Saturday.

Before you settle in to your recliner to watch Auburn and Alabama slug it out in the Iron Bowl, visit one of the stores downtown. Many of them are continuing their Black Friday promotions for customers. It is a great way to show support.
